I look for the traces of people: Who was here? What did they do? Will they return? Who won’t come back? This is the pulse of the city that I attempt to capture through my lens.

Someone sits here. Do we see the same street?

There are never enough places to sit in public spaces. Why? Casual conversation among strangers builds community. This ad hoc café is a remnant of a good conversation.

This table waits anticipating sunset and the casual dinner conversations that become more animated with each shared bottle of beer.

Another ad hoc setup for a casual meetup in the city. I love cities, but I can get overwhelmed as the rising infrastructure dwarfs my existence. It’s these intimate quiet spaces, where strangers can sit and become neighbors, that I seek out in urban places.
